Meet Lisa Kohler Orme,

I grew up on a dairy farm right in the heart of Midway – a place that’s been home to my family for four generations. You could say we’ve seen all of the changes that Midway has gone through over the years, as the Kohler family was part of Midway’s very beginnings. The Albert and Elsie Kohler Legacy farm, the last of its kind in the area, holds a special spot at the entrance to Midway, thanks to my brother’s family putting the land in a conservation easement, that will continue for generations.

In 1929 Albert and Elsie Kohler moved their 13 kids from a small home in Midway to what is now the legacy farm. My Parents Roy and Phyllis Kohler bought the farm and became the second generation, and let me tell you, being the youngest of nine kids on those acres was quite the adventure.

My husband Mike and I have seven sons and a daughter (who’s currently a senior on the girls wrestling team at Wasatch High – time flies!) We also now have three adorable granddaughters, who really know how to brighten up our days.

I have been a realtor in the Heber Valley since 1999.  I now work with another life time local, Genene Probst Miles and we are “The Hometeam”. We have both lived in the Valley our entire lives and are passionate about this community. Together we have lived in Midway almost 120 years.

My husband Mike and I work together as the owners of Davis Coleman Property Management and are happy to be able to serve the people of this beautiful valley.

I’ve got a passion for Midway that runs deep. I’ve been on the city council for two terms. I’m also part of the Midway Business Alliance, the Chamber of Commerce, the Heber Valley Tourism and Economic Development board as well as other organizations I am involved with. When you love a place, you want to see its businesses and community thrive.  I believe that it takes people getting involved to make a community strong.

The Kohler family has always been a part of Swiss Days.  With our Swiss heritage it is part of who we are.   Currently Mike and I are part of the Swiss Days Committee.  Our role has been directing the Swiss Days Parade for the last three awesome years.

I’m all about giving back and getting involved. There’s something magical about Midway that just pulls you in – it’s not just the stunning scenery, but the PEOPLE who call it home. So, as time keeps rolling on, my story and Midway’s story keep weaving together, a town where everyone feels like family.
